Dr. Carolyn Hayward
Dear Wildcat Families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Wilkinson Elementary School. As Principal, I’m energized and deeply committed to creating a positive experience in the lives of your children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure expectations are met. By specializing in a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increasing academic expectations for all scholars and investing in the help and support of parents and the community, these are attainable goals. It is my desire at WES to see that each one of our scholars is on the right track to be college and/or career ready when that time comes.
Our scholars deserve our best each and every day. Additionally, we must continue to carefully examine their ever changing needs in areas that extend above and beyond the brick and mortar classroom. We will convey the importance of social skills and a positive mindset that impacts our school, our community, and our society as a whole. My focus is to continue to provide our scholars with a safe and nurturing environment where they want to belong and grow, both individually and collectively. Together, we will instill the desire and determination to be successful at school and in life. That is what builds character and enables us to achieve excellence in our work together at WES.
My door, my agenda, and my heart remain open to meet and address your concerns, ideas, or areas of opportunity. I feel blessed to serve this school community and truly believe that the joy of the Lord is my strength. My email address is: carolyn.hayward@myoneclay.net. I am proud to be your principal and, on behalf of me, the faculty and staff of WES, we all wish much success for your child during his/her years with us here at school and beyond.
Respectfully,
Dr. Carolyn Hayward
