Dear Coppergate Families,
Welcome back to an exciting 2021-22 school year at Coppergate School of the Arts! The faculty and staff are thrilled you have entrusted your child’s education to us. Our goal is to create an enriching and creative learning environment that engages each child. Coppergate has an excellent faculty and support staff who work in a variety capacities to support your child’s learning in both the academics and the arts. As the first educational experience in your child’s life, welcome your partnership in fostering an optimal teaching, learning and creative environment for all.
We encourage you to actively engage with the Colt Family through the School Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO). SAC meets monthly via Google Meets. It is a wonderful way for you to share ideas and support the mission of the school. The PVO is a great way to get involved in volunteering for various events and activities, chaperoning field trips, organizing classroom celebrations, etc. once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Additionally, we will offer a wide variety of parent/family engagement events throughout the year. Many of these make look different this year due to COVID-19, but they will be equally informative.
At CSA, we sincerely believe in a school environment that is collaborative in nature and draws on the strengths of all stakeholders. Working together makes a difference in the lives of our students. Our ultimate goal is to improve student outcomes and develop the whole child. I look forward to working with you all during this school year and many more to come.
Carpe Diem,
Melissa G. Metz
