Principal Becky Wilkerson

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Hello and welcome to Middleburg Elementary School, Home of the Pirates. I am honored to be leading this tremendous school with such a dedicated staff, hard working students, and supportive parents and community members.

Middleburg Elementary School is part of the Clay County School District, a K-6 district located in Clay County, just south of Jacksonville. One of 27 elementary schools in the district, we offer engaging, collaborative classrooms to approximately 570 students. Our school motto is: Nothing Less than the Best. We ask all stakeholders; including Teachers, Support Staff, Administration, Parents and Students to commit to giving nothing less than their best to the education of our students every day.  Students are challenged and rewarded every day in this rich learning environment. In addition to the core subject areas of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, students at Middleburg Elementary School have the opportunity to participate in art, music, PE, technology and more.

Middleburg Elementary School could not be the outstanding school it is without the participation and support of our parents and community. Parents are welcome additions, we need you in classrooms engaged in meaningful work to enhance the education students are receiving. All parents are encouraged to get involved with various activities and events in our school.

Every student at MBE is issued a chromebook to support individualized learning and 21st century learning through a wealth of digital curriculum. Every day students are engaged in highly rigorous learning through technology, collaboration, inquiry, and project-based learning.

I am so humbled to be a part of this amazing school and district. Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious possession. Thank you to all our staff, parents, and community members who make each day meaningful for the students we serve. Together, we are preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.

Warmly,

Becky Wilkerson
