Principal Whitney Johnson
Dear Parents and Stakeholders,
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself, Whitney Johnson, as the new principal of Shadowlawn Elementary School. My passion for education and the success of all students has been shaped over my years serving as a teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. In each role, I have sought to ensure the success of each student by providing the best educational and extracurricular opportunities possible. Similarly, it is my number one priority at Shadowlawn Elementary School that every student receives a learning centered homeostatic educational experience.
I hope your summer has been filled with excitement and adventure. Our summer is coming to a close and now our thoughts eagerly turn to the beginning of another dynamic year. The Shadowlawn faculty and staff are excited to work with you as we provide high quality, rigorous, challenging and relevant instruction for your children. Shadowlawn staff members seek to grow and develop students invested in the learning process and the pursuit of knowledge as a lifelong learner. The goal of our work is to create a safe and supportive environment in which all learners can fulfill their unique learning potential.
The Shadowlawn community is key to our school’s success. Parent involvement increases student achievement and enriches the school community. As we begin this new school year, we are seeking a new and strengthened parent and community partnership to provide an unbreakable foundation for each of our students. These partnerships provide valuable social emotional and academic support through a collaborative network. Together, we can spark a love of learning in all of our students.
Thank you for trusting your child in our care and partnering with faculty/staff members to prepare your children for the future. It’s going to be a bright year! Please feel free to contact me at 904-336-3381 with questions, suggestions and/or concerns.
Sincerely,
Principal
